Telemetry Platform Engineering Lead in Mexico
We are looking for a Telemetry Platform Engineering Lead to guide an engineering team through the end-to-end lifecycle of Agile, Infrastructure, Development, and Engineering platform capabilities

Responsibilities:
- Lead the platform engineering team by prioritizing and executing tasks aligned with committed objectives
- Provide expertise in Monitoring, Telemetry, and Observability platform engineering
- Ensure platform engineering quality through consistent development, testing, debugging, and documentation practices
- Oversee platform capabilities, including implementation, development, testing, validation, and maintenance
- Drive continuous improvements in platform performance, ensuring alignment with KPIs and OKRs
- Execute activities based on the Scaled Agile Framework PI Planning
- Manage platform budgeting, planning, work measurement, and team motivation
- Handle vendor contracts and capacity commitments
- Provide Level 3 platform support and maintenance
- Establish and maintain engineering governance structures and best practices
- Collaborate with platform and enterprise architecture teams on design consistency
- Contribute to and drive the platform architecture roadmap
- Lead the platform engineering execution lifecycle, ensuring timely and quality deliverables
- Communicate platform development progress and alignment with business priorities
- Collaborate with other platform managers and business stakeholders
- Identify new technology platform capabilities and outline cost-effective implementation approaches
- Plan, coach, and support platform system demos
- Manage and maintain the software infrastructure that supports platforms
What we expect:
- 7+ years of experience in telemetry, monitoring, and observability environments using APM/AIOPS solutions (Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, ServiceNow)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and leading SCRUM/Lean/Kanban teams
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience in technology engineering, with 7+ years managing platform teams
- 3+ years of experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS required, Azure desired)
- Proven track record in complex organizations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in healthcare, life science, or pharmaceutical industries
- Leadership and management experience
- Ability to deliver high-quality results in a rapidly changing environment
- Experience managing global engineering teams and budgets
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Effective presentation, communication, and influencing skills
- Innovative thinking in engineering capabilities
- Knowledge of information management practices, regulatory requirements, and global data privacy laws in the pharmaceutical industry
- IT Service Management, Service Operations, and Service Release knowledge (ITIL v4 and ITSM)
- DevOps CI/CD technologies and lifecycle knowledge
- Cloud IaaS and PaaS technology experience (AWS and Azure preferred)
- Micro-services, API integration, and container technologies knowledge (Kubernetes preferred)
- Platform engineering automation experience using infrastructure as code, configuration management, orchestration, modern patterns, APIs, and site reliability engineering concepts
- Experience with scripted deployment processes and tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python)
- Continuous improvement and change management expertise
- Experience with virtual/Agile teams and managing insourced or outsourced delivery teams
