Senior Infrastructure Solution Architect
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Solution Architect with extensive expertise in AWS and ability/experience integrating Azure services (e.g. OpenAI) . This role will act as a communication bridge between highly technical engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders, such as clinicians, Principal Investigators, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities:
- Guide peers and team members on infrastructure, cloud architecture, and design patterns
- Promote an automation-first mindset while building our hybrid cloud services and frameworks using infrastructure-as-code technologies such as AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM Templates, and Terraform
- Lead and participate in the development of a multi-cloud strategy
- Deliver high-quality cloud solutions with a focus on security and instrumentation, while optimizing development speed and flexibility
- Contribute to and support standards and best practices for design, engineering, cost optimization, and configuration management across the infrastructure ecosystem, including both data centers and cloud environments
- Advocate for and promote continuous improvement processes for data center infrastructure and cloud platforms by applying knowledge of the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, and through collaboration with team members.
- Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of hybrid cloud service offerings, ensuring that cloud-based infrastructure support issues are resolved in a timely, transparent, and consistent manner
- Establish technology architectures, standards, test plans, and design templates. - Develop a common framework and libraries to promote code reuse and leverage inner-sourcing where possible
- Collaborate with security engineering to incorporate security into applications deployed on the cloud
- Be hands-on by engaging in coding, system design, and mentoring of engineers.
- Ensure that design decisions are clearly documented, communicated, and maintained for all initiatives within the domain
- Review and improve overall architecture and engineering practices in alignment with divisional and enterprise guidelines
- Work with individual teams to conduct design reviews and code reviews, and assist them in formulating designs and approaches to address known and emerging challenges
- Effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders across the domain
- Lead initiatives to keep technology and technologists in the domain updated with modern cloud architecture and engineering practices
What we expect:
- Over 10 years of experience in Infrastructure Architecture, including a proven track record of working alongside technology leaders on the implications and implementation of strategic architectural decisions
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to facilitate cross-functional team collaboration, provide technical leadership, and mentor engineering teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proven track record of successfully handling customer relationships and ability to deal with change and excel in high-stress situations
- Experience in Private and Public cloud designs that focus on resiliency, high availability, and security
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience designing highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-native architectures on AWS (including serverless designs using managed cloud services)
- Deep technical knowledge of cloud offerings in AWS/Azure, particularly in areas such as networking, security, DevOps, operations, monitoring, alerting, storage, databases, and compute
- Experience working in large AWS/Azure environments, spanning multiple accounts/subscriptions, availability zones, and regions
- Over 5 years of experience with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines. Requires expertise in designing release cycles using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, GitHub EMU, Checkmarx, JFrog, etc., and Git related tools such as GitHub/Azure DevOps
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, .NET, Golang, JavaScript) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Over 2 years of experience in designing, configuring, and managing Secrets Vault solutions
- Experience integrating AWS and/or Azure cloud with third-party software, other SaaS services, and/or on-premises applications
- Experience working in Agile environments; familiarity with project management tools such as Rally and Airtable
- Availability for working on a hybrid mode from NJ, NY or Connecticut
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and experience with Azure cloud services
- Experience in Hashicorp Secrets vault
- Familiarity with the SAFe Agile framework is a plus.
