Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join a team building an internal AI platform for a large pharmaceutical company. The platform lets the client's teams deploy and run AI agents in one secure, standardized environment. You will own the infrastructure: design, automate and run AWS environments, working alongside the development team that builds the platform's Python services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and run AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, S3, EventBridge) and manage it with Terraform across DEV, QA and Production environments
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and a standardized deployment process for AI agent teams
  • Keep the platform reliable in production: scaling, backups, secrets management, monitoring and alerting
  • Put security best practices in place: network isolation, encryption, least-privilege access and SSO integration
  • Containerize and deploy Python-based AI agents and backend services, and troubleshoot them in collaboration with the development team
  • Develop Python-based automation and internal tooling for infrastructure management and deployment workflows

What we expect:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps/Cloud Engineering, including ownership of production environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform
  • Experience with Kubernetes (preferably EKS), Docker and Helm
  • Experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar
  • Strong Python skills: writing automation and tooling, and reading, debugging and supporting backend services
  • Experience integrating applications with identity providers via SSO (OIDC/SAML), e.g., Okta or Microsoft Entra ID
  • Understanding of AI agent architecture and its components (LLM APIs, vector databases, agent frameworks) from an infrastructure perspective
  • Ability to work independently and communicate directly with client stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with AI platforms and tools: AWS Bedrock, LangChain/LangGraph, vector databases (e.g., ChromaDB), Langfuse
  • Experience with FastAPI
  • Experience in pharma, life sciences or other regulated industries
  • AWS certifications
