Scientific Business Analyst – In Vitro Product & Vendor Evaluation

You will lead the laboratory platform landscape assessment and vendor evaluation work stream within the In Vitro digital transformation program. Working alongside the process-mapping and strategic benefits leads, you assess what exists in the market, define how platforms should be evaluated against real laboratory workflow needs, and produce evidence-based recommendations that support senior investment decisions.

Location:

Quantori is an international team: we have colleagues who work not only from office but also remotely from all over the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the existing laboratory product landscape and available enterprise capabilities.
  • Conduct market analysis across ELN, LIMS, SDMS, inventory management, scientific registration, sample management, laboratory automation, scheduling, scientific data hubs, integration platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Define business, scientific, functional, and technical evaluation criteria.
  • Prepare RFI or RFP inputs and vendor question sets.
  • Organize and facilitate structured vendor demonstrations and proof-of-concept evaluations.
  • Develop evaluation scorecards, conduct fit-gap analysis, and perform build / buy / configure / reuse analysis.
  • Assess architecture fit, governance, security, cost, risk, and change impact.
  • Produce concise, evidence-based recommendations for senior decision-makers.

What we expect:

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, or consulting roles in life sciences, biopharma, or laboratory environments.
  • A relevant degree in life sciences, chemistry, biology, or a related scientific discipline — with hands-on laboratory or scientific research experience.
  • Prior hands-on exposure to the laboratory informatics platform landscape — tools such as Dotmatics, Benchling, Revvity Signals, Mosaic, LabVantage, TetraScience, or comparable ELN, LIMS, SDMS, or laboratory data platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating laboratory informatics or scientific digital platforms — from requirements definition through to vendor selection.
  • Practical experience preparing RFI or RFP documentation, structuring vendor demonstrations, and running a formal selection process.
  • Experience developing evaluation scorecards, conducting fit-gap analysis, planning proofs of concept, and performing build / buy / configure / reuse analysis.
  • Sufficient technical understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, scalability, and platform constraints to assess architecture fit and stress-test vendor claims.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, facilitate structured demonstrations, and present platform comparisons clearly to senior scientific and business stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to the UK when required.

We offer:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Remote or office work
  • Flexible working hours
  • A team with excellent tech expertise
