Business Analyst — In Vitro Strategic
You will define and quantify the strategic benefits of the In Vitro digital transformation programme, covering laboratory workflow improvements across drug discovery and R&D operations. The role combines commercial reasoning, programme governance, and sufficient scientific understanding to make benefit claims credible — translating laboratory workflow improvements into investment-ready business cases that senior stakeholders can act on.
Location:
Quantori is an international team: we have colleagues who work not only from office but also remotely from all over the world.
Responsibilities:
- Define benefit hypotheses for the digital transformation of laboratory workflows
- Develop KPIs and baselines covering experiment lead time, laboratory throughput, resource capacity, manual handling, data-processing time, data quality, traceability, data reuse, and probability of success.
- Define benefit-measurement methods, data sources, and benefit owners
- Develop the quantified In Vitro benefits case and prepare investment decision materials
- Build implementation roadmaps, define milestones, manage dependencies, and provide sequencing recommendations
- Support RAID management, decision governance, and programme reporting
- Prepare Gate and steering committee materials
- Simplify complex scientific and technical information into clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders
What we expect:
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy, or programme delivery in life sciences, biopharma, or a related environment
- A relevant degree in life sciences, chemistry, biology, or a related scientific discipline — with sufficient understanding of pharmaceutical or biotech R&D operating models to assess the credibility of laboratory workflow benefit claims
- Experience in benefits modelling for digital transformation programmes — including quantified business cases, KPI definition, baseline setting, and benefit-measurement approaches
- Ability to connect benefits to productivity, capacity, lead time, quality, and probability of success in a laboratory or R&D context
- Experience in business-case development and investment decision support
- Experience developing implementation roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and sequencing recommendations
- Experience supporting RAID management, decision governance, programme reporting, and Gate and steering committee preparation
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills — able to simplify complex scientific and technical arguments for senior non-scientific audiences
- Willingness to travel to the UK when required
We offer:
- Competitive compensation
- Remote or office work
- Flexible working hours
- A team with excellent tech expertise
