Big Data Engineer (Kafka)

Location:

Quantori is an international team: we have colleagues who work not only from office but also remotely from all over the world.

What we expect:

  • Production experience in building Java applications
  • Solid experience in creating event-based or data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka
  • Good knowledge of Big Data frameworks: Apache Spark, MapReduce, and Hadoop infrastructure in general
  • Experience with both NoSQL and SQL databases
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing patterns
  • Knowledge of Linux scripting and Linux server administration
  • Strong intermediate English (B1+) or higher

Nice to have:

  • Contribution to open source in Big Data (MapReduce, Spark, etc.)
  • Certifications (Spark, MapReduce, ElasticSearch, Cloud, etc.)
  • Extensive experience in Scala and Python
  • Good understanding of Cloud platforms
